Can anyone recommened what type either internal or external pickups is best to use? Ihave tried piezo inside the box, and really have problems not liking the sound or the buzz. What can I do to solve this problem? I'm not very experinced with electronics and sodering.

Hi Randy,
Thanks for replying. Do you make them yourself? They look great.
Yep i do...i`m Mojobone Works.....http://handmademusicclubhouse.com/photo/albums/mojobone-works-custo...
If you use a piezo, it's better to put them right directly under the saddle/bridge. The reason is that they work by pressure. The more pressure, the louder they are. It can also be helpful to use a damping material on the box side to minimize handling noise from the box.
The more piezos you add together in parallel, the lower the impedance, so they'll sound better. The rod piezos that use one tiny piezo for each string work on this principal.
I also make hand wound magnetic pickups if you're interested (shameless self promotion). http://skeesixcbgs.com/
Thanks for the information and input I really do appreciate it. I forgot to ask about the piezos, just took it for granted. I guess that the saying there are no rules, but it can sure help if you reach out about problems or concerns.
Thanks Larry
