How do you turn off that annoying little beep beep?

It's only on Handmade, there's a beep beep (I-V) that happens every few seconds. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

It's the sound when someone posts in chat. Right above where you type in chat there's a speaker icon next to the smiley thing, click it to mute it. You don't hear it at the other place cause nobody hardly chats LOL

Thanks for that, Ted. I have muted that button, still was getting a beep. Have got rid of it by disabling Chat in the lower right hand corner of the main window.

Just go offline in the chat window. There´s a green dot and a person in the upper right corner. Press the green dot and you´re off line.
