Knut Wilhelm Wedo and his extended range bass.
That's a really cool idea. And it shouldn't be too difficult to duplicate.
I contacted them and as beautiful as it is, it's about $1600-$1700. Shipping alone was $260.00
I was thinking of something like this but far more modest. I was wondering if standard guitar fret wire would work and what the string spacing would have to be.
There's a fellow with Krappy Guitars that makes a 9 string for $725 + Shipping here in NC.
I'd like to know if anyone has the plans for a 6 string lap tapper.

That was a cool vid David...looks like thatguy was really gettin off on that instrument and the sounds he was makin...lol.
Hey, y'all. New member here. I've been building solidbodies off and on for 30 years. I've always been interested in building a Stick-like tapping instrument, but I've yet to see anything on the net chronicling such a build. I spent an hour googling it again before posting this message, and still nothing. And surprisingly, my searches on MIMF were dry holes too.
Has anyone here ever chronicled a tapper build -- or know of someone who has?
Many thanks.
