Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

So last weekend My nephew came to visit and wanted to make a guitar and he decided on an axe handle CBG... 5 hours latter this is what we ended up with.. Now what you might think is a tater chip under the bridge, on top of the pickup.. Well we happened to stop into a "real wood store" near our house and there was a box of Sliced nuts.. not sure what kind but the sound is a bit different and  the quarters have each of our birth years on them.. Thought I'd share..

Hey Hip Bone. that would be a slice from a "tagua" nut wood turners use them too. they are great for carving if you can get your hands on whole ones.
