Handmade Music Clubhouse

Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

This is the exhibit/show I had this weekend at Packer-Schopf Gallery in Chicago.  You can see the chairs set up for the mini-concert part of the afternoon.  There were instruments on four sides of the  three pillars, and two MDs on the box.  Swanky space!

Even tho it was snowing and blowing like hell, we had a great turnout, and a good handful of instruments went home WITH SOMEONE ELSE!

Hi Diane,

Glad you had a productive show. You set up a wide variety of instrument styles, which helped make them a big hit. Always nice to sell a few, too. Great job.

Great assortment Diane, they look right at home in a gallery setting.  How was sales?

With a crowd of 50, sold 6.  Imagine if we had a real full house!

The gallery owner wants to do it again in the warmer months, so I'll have to rustle up a few more builds by then.

Diane,

Congrats on a great looking show!  Your builds look like the best ever!!!

merry Christmas,

Hey Diane,

Love the double-box dulcimer...I have some necks coming from Jay Gilliam and a few are dulcimer necks...I intended to use them same as a standard cbg with one box, but your photo has given inspiration...great job!

Here's how they go together:  http://www.cbgitty.com/content/view/39/43/

Happy building!
