I had a job doing property matinence for a large apt community when I was 18. Well people that missed work got garbage detail or street sweeping duty(big damn dusty job) Well I was 18 and liked to party alot. So missin mondays was a common problem for me. I was on garbage detail every week.twice a week. I found all kinds of treasures back then. One time I found a huge sack.looked like burlap but it was woven in white nylon. Had about 75 lbs of mini butterfingers in it. We stuffed handfuls of butterfingers in the beer coolers everyday for months.

The only pic I had of it.Got my Ibanez in front of it. This amp was meant to be mine. Story. I had a tweed reissue bassman. Got rid of it because it was soo loud. And my space is so limited. Found this vintage model a few months later after I changed my mind about getting rid of the first one. This is not the tweed. But it has a master volume. And is much easier on the ears.

my best find is a 1970s model bassman 10. It only needed a new fuse. I also replacd the output tubes.

well if all else fails i can sell it as a project or strip out the Mullard vintage valves and rectifier - i've been checking out the Mullard valves and it seems the ones with the Yellow writing on are real sought after :-)

Saved this from going in the Skip / Dumpster yesterday - it's a 1951 Ambassador radio it's complete with the Case , Electromagnetic 10" speaker , the guy i got it from said it still worked 20 years since when he put it in the Garage lol! i had a quick look at it and noticed the main capacitor has erroded on the terminals so need to get another one before i test it - just orderd full schematic, alignment and some general Ambassador notes see if we can bring it back to life - would love to convert it to a guitar amp juju

Well my 2 favorite dumpster finds for cbgs are an old kay classical painted with scenes from "fear and loathing in las vegas" its so bad its good. and a whole futon made from some kind of Indonisian freakwood. Im thinking its teak, all I know is its HARD and it thrashes my blades. Pics to come... My wife found me near a dumpster does that count?
