Hi everyone,
I'm Mickey, and I am from Arizona. I've been building CBG's for about a year now, and it is safe to say it has become a full blown obsession. Looking forward to learning from people here!

Hey there everyone! Happy to have found this group. It looks like it will be very worthwhile to me. I am a ukulele "enthusiast" and have been playing for just shy of 3 years. I began building not too long ago and have built two tenor ukes, and more recently a solid-bodied U-Bass and nearly have the second one complete. I've been wanting to jump into building Cigar Box ukes and have just today started what will be my third ukulele Bass and unless things change during construction (been known to happen!) it should be my first cigar box instrument. I am a retired wildlife biologist and wildlife sculptor and I live in Roanoke, VA. I hope anyone with short scale bass and especially ukulele basses with their fat, rubbery silicone or polyurethane strings will holler back at me and send a friend request or message. Happy to be here!
Hi all
My name is Ole and according to the member map, I'm the first one in Denmark :-)
I just started playing guitar 2 years ago and 2-3 months ago I got my first 3 string CBG. Now I have expanded to 3 CBG's so I can play along with friends visiting.
I have not build my own guitars yet, but maybe in the future. For now I'm just trying to learn to play and I'm having fun doing it :-)
/Ole
Hello Dan, James here. Sounds like you have the will to try something and i feel sure you will do fine. Welcome.
Hello ever one I'm Dan. I have recently started on my 1st (well... 1st five) cigar box guitars. I have no idea how to play so this should be quiet the learning experience. I made some Kalimba's for my daughters and wife for Christmas and they turned out great, so maybe with a bit more effort these will also.
Dan
