Hell-o from Kingsport TN all.  Looking for a new hobby since its getting harder and harder to work on hot rods.. lol  Anyway came across a 2 string bass at an arts and crafts show, and just though it so cool.  Played keyboard for years so music is in me, may have a new way to get it out now.  So  anyway looking forward to learning a lot and making new friends.  And going to have lots of questions.  C-ya

Hiya, My name is Ty Conner. I'm from Southern Illinois. I've been playing guitar since I was 11. I'm getting ready to turn 31. I've always seen cigar box type guitars all of my life, but never knew anyone that owned one. I've recently tried to quit smoking and I needed something to do with my hands so I went up to the antiques store and bought a cigar box and went home and carved out a one piece head and neck. It looks a lot better than the birdhouse I built for shop class. I still have a long way to go, but at least I have plenty of time to do it.

Welcome Wyndell, I like the idea of using a license plate. Can't wait to see the pictures.

Hi, My name is Pete "Papa Bo". I live just south of the Mason Dixon Line in Merryland, the land of high taxes & dumb politicians or maybe dumb voters. Anyway enough of that - I'm 67, can't dance, sing or play a guitar, but I'm fascinated by homemade musical instruments.

I've built a diddley bo, canjo & now working on cigar box guitar.
