Tascam DR-03 $59.99 free shipping
Wow Joker, that's a nice, portable setup you have there. Can you plug mics into the Tascam if you wanted? What kind of recording time on it and on the Flip?
I got a real chuckle picturing you recording in the car. thanks for posting!
That's great Joker. I'm impressed with my Flip cameras' sound but would like to do something similar what you are doing with the Tascam for more flexibility to mix audio. How did you sync the audio to the vid?
Hey fellow clubhousers! Ted asked me to post some tips about how I record.
I will post different techniques over the next couple of days.
My family lives on a tight budget, so the techniques I use are great for those trying to get the best bang for your buck. I will start with most recent and easiest to use purchase, the Tascam DR-07.
The DR-07 is a hand held digital recorder with built in stereo condensor mics. It will record in WAV or MP3 format with settings for low quality for maximum space all the way to high cd quality.
I bought it on sale at guitar center for $100 (which is a steal) in order to record audio in conjuction with my little memorex flip camera, so I could have higher quality audio to mix with the vid.
Here was the first test recording and mixing with video. I played this song live through my amp on the cbg and vocals through the PA at low volumes (I have to keep it that way at home to remain friends with the neighbors). There is no amplification on the bass drum
I recorded this at 320kbps at 44.1k sample rate mp3. I then took the audio and mixed it with the vid in Microsoft Movie Maker.
