That picture is of my "BenCaster".... the first guitar I made (except for the neck). The wood came from trees that originally felled and milled on my Grandfather's Farm many years ago. The guitar has a 1/2" thick top of Hard Michigan Maple which I worked from rough cut planks to a jointed top. I did the electrics and all the hardware installation. Overall I'm pretty happy with it. BTW - Ben was my Grandfathers / Fathers / and older Brothers name (now all deceased).

Here is a photo of the last guitar I built this past season, before it got too cold to work in my garage anymore, shown with a matching three-string bass, which I have since sold.
