Hey Ted I just tried to order boxes at you link and with shipping they are WAY to expensive they wanted almost $19.00 to ship putting the total to over 40 bucks

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it.

I used to use U-Line for boxes, but recently found these on Amazon.  A better size (36 x 12 x 4) than U-Line, cheaper per unit and you only have to order 20, not 25. Click link.

I dont know of a source to buy only 1 or 2, but you might be able to go to a guitar store and see what they throw out.  A florist may have good size boxes too.  I learned long ago that making my own boxes is a huge waste of time.

Here's where I order bubble wrap:

Large bubbles

Small bubbles

U LINE .COM-has every type, size box and packing materials. I use their box; but get bubble wrap from lowes/home depot loosen up the strings and i normally wrap 3 times--no problems to date

Can someone give me tips on shipping? What kind of box? what type of packing materials? I want to make sure that the guitars make it there unharmed, but i'm not sure what is the best/cheapest way to do that. THANKS

it would seem to me no one is saying weather they can play. i just finished my 4th, 4-string reso, and compared to others on this site it isn't pretty. i lean to building on the cheap, because i keep in mind that they are cbg's. but when it comes down to it people comment on the sound i make with the thing. this is a typical comment; " i can't believe you can make that sound with that " ck out my "Early in  the morning" my latest posting. i applogize because i can't get the titles to appear. thats with the 3-string fretless.

What i did instead of a web site was have a seperate facebook page for Mojobone Works. Being it`s seen worldwide has greatly helped in sales. I rather talk one on one with my customers that way i know exactly what their looking for. Being almost all my work is custom made. It really helps folks to know that their order will be done exactly like they wanted.

Maybe I can start off by asking a Question.  Those of you that have been selling,  what sells best?  I mean as far as styles?   Do you use the piezo pickups or the other kind?  Bone nuts  or leave them more rustic with bolts and such?   Rustic is less costly to make so to speak,  but the bone nuts and nice bridges have a more finished look. Thanks for your input

I will look forward to watching this group evolve.  I haven't sold anything yet, in fact I haven't only made 2 cbg's and having a hard time at that!   But I have seen nothing of them around this area and was thinking it might be a fun hobby and make a few bucks at it.  So I would be interested in anything any one has to say.  Thanks for inviting me!
