Oh yeah. It'll work backwards. And hold tuning. The same as forward will. I just uploaded a side photo. You have to think about how it will work from the side. You do have to make sure that the tuners end up lower than your bridge. On this one I had all the tuners on one side so I had to place screws as string trees or guides or whatever you call them. Hey love your graphic man. I've been making the same kind of plans in illustrator. Helps plan it out. See the little base thing I put on mine. It wasn't an aesthetic thing really. My fear was that the cbg would fall over and break/bend the tuners. And then the notch you cut out for the two back tuners may not work cause the tuners can't be placed that close together. But this is all theory. Oh and plus it may not support the tension. One thing I do like about the backward build is that it helps with balance. Because the cigar boxes to over enough counterweight.
