I have Roger H. Siminoff book on Tap Tuning. Way over my sophomoric attempts! But maybe next year...?

Thats great experiance!, just think on how that bracing has an effect on the tone. Them same principals can be used to tune simple boxes, depending on what tuning you use, theres an art there!

I'm doing this one by the book (Ukulele Design and Construction: A comprehensive guide to construct a Hawaiian ukulele for any woodworker by D. Henry Wickham). Wickham says to put an arch in the back of 16' radius. OK, I have someone old the tape down at 16' away and use the tape like a compass on a 2' piece of 2x4. Dang, that's not much of a curve. Well, I band saw the curve into the 2x4 anyway, and here I am using the 2x4 as a sanding block on the bouts. Maybe next time I will put more of an arch on the back, but for now I'll just do it like Wickham suggests.
