I ended up putting a piezo under the can & blending it with the mag pup. Perfect solution, to my ears anyway.

David, I recently changed the bridge on my last reso to this 1/4" inch piece of poplar, from a piece that was 3/4" at the base. It sharpened the sound up noticeably. The single coil is just forward of the bridge and as close as i could get it without sticking. I'm working on one now with the intention of using 2 single coils wired in series. jeff

Just not loving the sound of the mag pup under the tin. Needs a little more snap. Kind of muffled & muddy. Going to try bone instead of cigar box wood under the brass bridge saddle tomorrow. Acoustically it has a nice rasp.
