I thought I would try out some of these MGB flat pups. The first guitar to get one will be my license plate build that I finished last year after 5 years in limbo.

Absolutely! The Aluminum tailpiece is screwed through the steel plate into the neck, and I plan to sandwich a ring terminal between the plate and the wood to ground everything.

Very cool, good luck. Here's a tip, ground the license plate to the negative lug of the jack.
