I Finally pulled the trigger on a set of proper nut slot files. No more fighting with the welding tip cleaners I have been using.

nut files are the best investment ever! other than actual fret cutters I just can't build very well without these...great choice!

I have a whole shop full of woodworking tools, and I can build guitars pretty efficiently until it comes down to the fine details that make my instruments stand out in the crowd. I build exclusively for players, and I have been spending way too much time on setups due to my lack of proper tools. Luthier tools are expensive, but I feel the investment will pay for itself in time savings pretty quickly.
