Yes, it is my adaptation of it though. The original Bazz Fuss was designed for bass guitar with a different transistor, diode, and input cap. So, through some experimentation I changed the input cap to work much better for guitar. I did not have any 2N3904 or 2N5088 transistors, but did have some MPS2222A's from Radio Shack 25 years ago, which meant more experimentation for the collector resistor - 1meg ohm in this case, a lot higher than 100k in the original. Diode is 4148 instead of the 1N914. I also made a version in a standard aluminum stompbox I call the Crude Oil Crunch with a 500k input pot to be able to sweep from a low value cap to a much higher value, to change the sound from very crunchy to loose and very bazz fussy.
