"BrianQ, yep, but one too tiny to play with the thumbs. With a 3 note wide pick it sounds a lot like someone hammering their fists against a piano's keys, with a pointy one individual notes are possible."

Electric silliness

"Running clean it sounds like a regular music box. But kick the amp into over-drive for a bit of distortion and add some echo, then it got sounding really neat.,.. But not quite like anything I'd heard before. With a 3 note wide pick it sounds a…"

What instruments are you building or playing?
I'm building my first, it will be a 4 string slide guitar, I am no guitarist at all, and although I am going to give learning the slide guitar an honest try at a later time, I'm building this one for my stepson to take with him in his sleeper when he's on the road.

Hi Bear, welcome to the Clubhouse!  Good to see you here, be careful, you can get lost for months...

The focus here is on all types of handmade instruments and music. There are lots of helpful builders and players here and lots of Groups to teach and learn. We welcome participation so don't be shy.

Have a look around, introduce yourself in My Name Is... and add yourself to the Member Map. There's an active Chat Room where you can ask questions, offer help or just talk about anything with some great folks.

Most of all Have Fun!
