I am making a license plate / sign guitar with the sign being 12"X 9" celebrating the Irish heritage of a friend.  The bridge I am using came from Gitty.  My mind took a vacation and I spaced the…Continue

Welcome to the Clubhouse! How did you hear about us?
Checking out Ted's builds and comments on Cigar Box Guitar and Cigar box guitar Builders.
What instruments are you building or playing?
I have built six so far. two license plates, 1 using a Humidor mag pup, one using a piezo pu (my first), a Seahawks lic plate with piezo and now trying to finish a one string bass (diddley bow) using a Gitty bass pu parralel to the bass D string. I play the flat wound Humidor three string made of birds eye maple and the diddley bow with a glass slide and 13 inch piece of bamboo. Besides the D-bow I am working on a four string with a Gitty mag pup and hard tail bridge.

Thanks William, I'm lucky that I get to do what I l'm doing to make a living.  I'm not sure what diddley bow you mean, but you can check out my weird creations here.  Each album has more photos inside.

Hello William!

Welcome to the clubhouse.  I live on Whidbey Island so it looks like you and I are neighbors, kinda.

I've built 3 CBGs.  The first 2 were gifts to my grandsons.  My most recent build was a license plate resonator that I plan to keep for myself.  Building these little guys helped bring me out of a depression too (I read your "Hello, my name is...").  So it seems we have a couple of things in common.

I'm currently working on a 2 string diddly bow.
