Cigar Box Amplifier built by Dennis Menard. A lot like a Pignose. But it has an additional control to the right that'll give you more gain. The input is buffered. So, it loves have a Tube Screamer or a Distortion box of your choice in front of it.

Welcome to the Clubhouse! How did you hear about us?
Via Mr. Ted Crocker. He invited me on Facebook!!
What instruments are you building or playing?
I play 2 6 String Cigar Box Guitars made by Carl Johnson out of Lowell,MA. They both have Mighty Mite Strat-Style Necks with the Skunk Stripe On The Back and Rosewood Fingerboards. Both have Grover Vintage Style Kluson Tuners. Both Have Telecaster Style Bridges with a GFS Lil' Puncher Rail Style Humbucker. They Both Have A Single Volume and Tone Knob. One of them does have a push-pull on the tone control for splitting the Coil to get those Single Coil Sounds. The other guitar doesn't and is mostly set up for slide. I have a Yamaha Bass Guitar and a Larrivee Acoustic Guitar. Oh by the way, I'm left-handed. So, all my guitars are lefty too.

Hi William, welcome to the Clubhouse! Glad you made it. Some cool gear there, and thanks for the new tracks on the jukebox. WOOO HOOO Dust My Bluz!! Maybe you can help jumpstart the Recording Studio group, I'd like to get where folks can collaborate over the miles through here as well as learn home recording.

The focus here is on all types of handmade instruments. There are many helpful builders and players here and lots of Groups to teach and learn. We welcome participation so don't be shy.

Have a look around, introduce yourself in My Name Is... and add yourself to the Member Map. There's an active Chat Room where you can ask questions, offer help or just talk about anything with some great folks.

Most of all Have Fun!
