Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

Hey there HMMC-

I have built one guitar, and do not by any means consider myself to be a Luthier, as many of you are.  I have a situation which has developed,  I've been asked by the friend who used my reso. on their CD what to put in the liner notes as "my company name".. the issue is, I do not have a company, nor do I intend to!

My friend implied they want to put something on there and suggested either using just my name, or he came up with

"Rundquist Resonators"...however, on a more humorous not, a friend from California (suprise suprise) suggested back when I was building the reso, that as I (at times) resemble a Giant Gnome... that I should call my "company"  Giant Gnome Guitars.

Sooo, there ya have it, what should go on the liner notes?

1) Rob Rundquist

2) Rundquist Resonators

3) Giant Gnome Guitars

Please post your opinion on one of the 3.

And lastly, if you're saying to yourself, "hey this guy's only built 1 guitar what's he doing thinking of a company name?"  That was my thought too, however, something needs to go in their liner notes....

How about " Giant Gnome Twangy Things"

Hi Rob,

I can understand your predicament.  Maybe it's a sign of things to come!  Who's to say you won't be building and selling someday, especially if you get some good exposure from your friend and his CD.  I don't know if I'd be ordering business cards and letterheads just yet, but perhaps down the road...

That said, here's my suggestion:

On the track _______, (friend) is playing a Rundquist Resonator by Giant Gnome Guitars/Rob Rundquist

Simple, to the point and it's some cool bragging rights for you when they hit it big.
