Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

I'm building my first guitar, a metal bodied resonator.  Currently part of my plan in to wire three piezos into a pre-amp with a 3 band EQ in series.  One on the cone itself, one on the soundboard and one on the tail piece.

As I've never built one before, and am completely experimenting with pickup placement, anyone have any thoughts??

Looks awesome so far Rob!

Might be overkill with 3 piezos and my vote is to wire in parallel.  I can make a harness for whatever you decide.

What cone?

Thanks, Ted,

I think I'll take your advice on going parallel, but I'm still torn on 2 or 3 piezos...

If I were to go with three, I'd probably put in a 5 way switch, but with two, I'm thinking of forgetting about a switch and going with a tone and  volume pot for each before going to the pre-amp is what I'd probably end up doing...

I'm pretty proficient at soldering and attaching metal things together, and have a basic grasp of EMI (not to mention the whole guitar is an EMI shield), so think I'll manage to put together whatever I end up using.  I'll post a pic of the harness board when I do.
