Here it is...http://www.danteferrara.co.uk/minstrel/instrumentsOrpharion.php...Give it a listen, as there is a sound sample here. It is quite beautiful!

I must give credit where credit is due...http://www.novaxguitars.com/...I was inspired a while ago by Charlie Hunter's guitar, designed by Ralph Novak. Fanned frets, if I'm not mistaken, can be tracede back to lutes of the Baroque era. It allows, as you can see, an extended range on the bass side of the instrument. It is also very comfortable to play, ergonometric in a way!

Yes Hans, I started the Clubhouse in November 2009 and since then a lot of amazing builders have come to call this home.  Elmar is a great guy, we're always in awe of his builds.  He often joins us in the chat room.  Thanks for posting your amazing instruments, we'd love to read some descriptions and view some videos.

Hi chi, welcome to the Clubhouse! You've got some really interesting instruments, you should feel right at home with the strange people here. Do you know Elmar Zeilhofer from Vienna? Seeing your work I assume you two have crossed paths.

The focus here is on all types of handmade instruments and music. There are lots of helpful builders and players here and lots of Groups to teach and learn. We welcome participation so don't be shy.

Have a look around, introduce yourself in My Name Is... and add yourself to the Member Map. There's an active Chat Room where you can ask questions, offer help or just talk about anything with some great folks.

Most of all Have Fun!
