Hey! if you go to my page, click photos and go to page 4,then look at my grounding pic and volume pot pic, i think you will understand. as for the dowelly things, those are knobs that i glue inside of cigar tube caps. the dowel is so it will go in my drill press so i can sand the knob to fit in the caps, then i drill a hole in the dowel to fit over the volume pot shaft, makes for a cool volume knob... Thanks for askin.
Sweet! Yeah, a bit more retro shape knob than the ones I get. Send me the link please. Got tuners for next few but after that will sawp to these I think.
Re resistor between passive piezo and tone pot send me your email - have good instructions for that and another passive tone circuit that works on piezos. Also the diagram for the simple active piezo buffer.
Speaking of, re our ph conv today, a big advantage in putting the active system in the box is that cable lenght affects resistance so by keeping it all in proximity you can set it up properly, rather than as an external unit.
Awesome cookie tin gat! And sounded great over phone too! That blue really worked. I'm gonna have to do that to Phil's gat. Next time I see a tin I like, I'm making one of these. Just waiting to see something with a bit of attitude. Might have to go with a retro tin lunchbox instead. Now to work out the best pickup arrangement for them...
