Hi Ted,
Thanks for the Birthday wishes. Great cake!
A guitar themed cake has been done, so will you be doing a cake themed CBG?!
Cheers, Lea

Hi Ted,

I’m building my first cbg. I have been an acoustic player, and this is my maiden voyage into electric guitars. It will be a fretted 4-string. In terms of pickups, I’m thinking about using and mag and a piezo under the assumption that they will have different sound qualities and being able to blend them or use them independently would be good. In terms of controls, I’m thinking that in sequence I would need one first to be able to mix the two pu’s and then tone and volume controls for the mix going to the amp. First off, what do you think about the mag and piezo combo? Is there a mag pu you would suggest for that (I prefer a mellower sound as opposed to a harder, metallic sound)? Is there a wiring diagram on your site that does what I described?

Thanks for your help and hosting your site.--phil

Many thanks for the birthday cake :-)

I will really get around to posting some info on my builds soon, too busy building at the moment!!! But some video of my son playing the four string biscuit tin we built at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGyXfNkNe_w

The fact that he's an English classical guitarist doesn't stop him playing German Metal in a school concert!

Thanks Ted, I can't wait to plug 'er in. I will put some pictures together and post them.

I noticed that some of the posts on this site appear to also be on Cigarbox Nation. Are the two sites connected, or have the posters just up-loaded to both sites?
