My 1st guitar was a Classical guitar Neck & Bridge with only 3 strings, screwed to a Hava-Tampa cigar box, with the inspiration of Bo Diddley & so many others. Damn, I thought I was on the way to fame & fortune! Turns out, that guitar was more infamous than famous, fell apart in a matter of a few months. What does a 14 year old know about building guitars?
Looking back on that experience & the lack of knowledge available to me at the time, makes me glad there are places like this. Places where people of different ages & backgrounds can come together & give guidance to all things handmade....
I think you do.....
TY you for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to meeting other builders.
Could be, the name sounds vaguely familiar. Were we in high school or the Navy together?
BTW, the profile pic is me, it's just 47 years ago in the South China Sea in the middle of a war...
"Thanks BQ" :-)
Thanx Brian - that's my plan! Awesome pic BTW.
Thank you...
