Back online with a computer again... of course, only a matter of time before wandering back in here as I love handmade music, can't play worth beans, but oh well. I like making things and enjoy listening to those who can.

In a chat about cutting bottle neck slides, I remembered I had this old gadget, a yard sale find, which may or may not be an antique glass cutter for cutting gauge tubes for steam things. So I had to find it... and then I had to try it out.
I rinsed out a hot sauce bottle for the test. Yes, it will scratch a line on the INSIDE of a bottle neck.…

On Ted's suggestion, I'm blogging to document my first build. Fair warning, I don't know what I am doing so I am just figuring it out as I go and gleaming information wherever I can. Thanks Nancy,,havent been here for awhile myself, busy "building" ukes/guitars, etc. There should be 8 days in the week, one just for building "stuff"....uninterupted!
Hi Nancy, just come across you're 'first build" page..very nice, I am soon to build my first CBG three or four strings..one of each I guess..hope mine are as good as yours.... You're post is very informative and pictures speak a thousand words..I get things much quicker by sight.. so the pics are great..how many have you built scince 2010? cheers from Australia..(ps I just changed my name to stringy bark..because I like strings and when I sing it sounds like I am barking LOL)
