Hullo Steven, sorry bout being late replying. Saw a pic of your "Uke" (?) on this website, looks nice. My venture into a diddly bow is limited to what was a garden stake attached to a cigar box; a guitar string in G and a peizo pickup, can do. I learnt to play the melody for "Greasy Coat", which as it is a U.S.A. folk song I reckon you might know. I marked out where some of the notes would be on the fretless neck or fretboard. A bunch of us provides music for a local circle dance. Mostly I play flute or sometimes bohdran, so it is very nice for me to play Greasy Coat. We have a double bass, violin, guitar, box drums, one bloke who plays anything that you blow in and me. Oh, I have been inspired, or is it misled, and as am close to finishing a 3 stringer. Jeez, too many words from me. Cheers p
Steve. Once you get the hang of beating tins, it does not take long. Only about a 3/4 hour.I chase acoustic sound and I like the variety different tins give. My instruments are good for session play if you want to cut through the standard blend. Bruce Have a look at biscuittinbanjos.com for some sounds. Bruce
