Yep made a believer out of me..I`ll never go back to the old way. Besides with me injured right hand it`s hard for me to hold the old fret saw and get a nice fret slot. This scroll saw method is awesome ...Thanks Darren !!!
roots... I know what you mean, I have contemplated selling my hand fret saw, but it still get the occasional dust off
Rodney... it really does a quick easy job of it!! you'll be amazed!!
old lowe... yep blade depth is a great thing, you can do this on auto pilot after a few!!
I must admit I do the vast majority of mine with a table saw blade these days, I will set up and slot 50-60 fretboards in a day, then I am set for about a month, then I set up and do it again, but for the kits I sell I do all those slots right on the neck with this method!!
ted.. no problem, I am suprised how many people are afraid of fretting, and how many tales I hear of folks takin the long way around the block... because they don't know just how easy it is!!
