DIY tune music box movement

punched strip music box movement I was wondering if anyone has tried one of these things. I'm thinking one inside the box of a CBG made with the bottom of the box as the soundboard so you can still open the box to change the strips. Was thinking you could do loops to add repeated refrains to a song played normally on the guitar, might add a neat effect,

I was also thinking it might be a fun way to learn to write your own music. I saw some 30 note units that worked the same way as well, but those were all already mounted in cases, and the prices started at about 4 times that of the 15 note units.
