Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

Decided to spread out from CBGs.... took a plank cutoff from a construction site. This is the result... a tenor 4 string electric, using a P-bass clone pup. Tone/volume control, hidden routing thru output jack hole. Bridge a simple aluminum angle, one way adjustable (down only ;-)...

Now that I've done this, I'm ready to risk the effort on a higher priced piece of wood.

thanks for looking,
the best,

Wichita Sam

Sam I got a pine slab verneered it with walnut looks pretty good
Cool lookin build Sam...it`s a piece of Fir probably off a roof truss or a joist. Yeah cut alot of those up in my time, wish I had all the ones I threw in the dumpsters.

I've seen some guys on Talkbass do bass builds out of pine and they turned out great.  Some argue they like pine as a tone wood as it sounds "warmer" to them.  Haven't played one, but I have no reason to reject their assessment.
