Used to go watch John in the summers on the Illinois river in Peoria. He was the main entertainment and captain of the Julia Belle Swain river boat. His songs where great stories. Great singer also. But, what a picker!!!

Dan, i'm so jeleous.. i love John Hartford but never got to see him live. My wife got to see him once at blueberry hill... i really wish i had known about that show back then.
