the pics i have here show how i took off the back wall of the frame to install the input jack.
So, you take the top and bottom of a box and build a frame to support, provide depth, volume, and it seems it would help alot for the electronics users. Ive got some boxes I would like to build with but dont care for the construction. Thanks for the tips Brian.

Hey thanks for posting this discussion.  So you built the sides of that wood box, right?  its alot thicker than the walls of the cigar box, do you find that that changes anything as far as sound for the guitar? volume and tone? amped and not?

thanks

Adam

good question adam,it does change the sound of the finished guitar with the thicker frame work. it diminishes the volume of the box but don't change the tone much un-amplified. as far as amplified goes it doesnt seem to affect it much at all. thanks again.
