I've been tempted to build a traskofiol, a folk fiddle from southern Sweden. I need to learn how to carve a nice fiddle head for it, though. I'll post photos when I get around to it.

Here's a lyre I built. It's a copy of the Trossengin Lyre from southern Germany. Wish I could say I can PLAY it, but I have few musical genes in me!

Another old Instrument called Virsikannel...that means something like gosbel kantele or church kantele.
