Comment by Leonard Rice on April 22, 2017 at 12:12am: I used a beer cap pick up (a peizo stuck in a beer cap with silicone) and some of that blue removable tacky putty for hanging pictures and just moved it around the body till it sounded best. I don't know how that would work if yours is a solid body.

I was pretty sure of this,but I wanted to ask. After putting the strings on I see that I have lots of setup work to do. So The pick up will be done then.

The body is about 42" in length and I'm trying to decide on the depth. I was thinking about 4", any suggestions. Haven't decided whether to use a standard bass guitar neck, or make a more conventional style neck. I will be electric because I don't think there is enough body for a good resonance
