I'm _still_  working on the Bouzouki kit (similar to an octave mandolin) I built last year. I'm using black epoxy to create an inlay to hide the f-up  I did on the binding. I used a veritas beading tool to cut a fine line around the sloppy walnut binding, and I'll fill it with the epoxy. I also did some decoration along the sides and up the neck with art pencils.  And I think I'll replace the Allen tailpiece  I bought with a homemade brass/rosewood tailpiece.


When everything is done, I hope it will look like an nice old, slightly beat -up, folk instrument. I'll post pictures soon and I'd love some feedback.

I've not yet created a mando, but I'm going to hang around here to learn, and then lookout . . . I'll be a mando maven.   Thanks for the invite.
