Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

3 String Punch CBG. Build 2

This is my second build and I was wondering if I would every get it done. It has med, acoustic strings 5-4-3 which gives it a rich deep sound, A Punch box and a Poplar/red oak neck. I hand shaped the back of the neck a shave at a time- took a few hours but was fun, it has a double taper and feels good to hold and play. The bridge pup is what I am calling the Trident Bridge pick-up. I put 3, 20mm piezo's in it connected parallel with only two wires coming out. I bolted the neck on and there is a recess between the lid and neck for resonance. Bolt for the bridge, nut and eye bolts for the string tree with CB Gitty economy tuners. Sounds rich and deep. It was a fun- frustrating at times build. I took it with me to SF this weekend and walked around holding and strumming it. I got stopped a number of times and asked about it. I took one order.

Additionally, Ted suggested I use tru-oil for the finish and I am glad I did, I like how it goes on and the final finish..
