I thought I'd take a few pics before I glued it together to show the way this one was made, Not sure how bendy that 3/4 inch square neck will be but it for sure should handle two strings in bronze. I may leave it that way and just cut the head own, or I might toss a couple tuners in the other holes and string it in nylon.

I'm waiting for glue to dry for the last time before I hear what it actually sounds like, I had to put small blocks in the corners to run the screws into that will be securing the lid, (back) shut. Otherwise it now has a threaded is strung with a pair of Ernie Ball Earth tone 80/20 wound bronze strings, a 54 and a 28, wired with a piezo and jack, and ready to play.
This is shaping up nice!
