i bought the fretboard from vietnam last year. its actually inlaid mother of pearl onto a rosewood board.

the body is 1 1/4 inch thick at the moment, but with finishing should be nearer 1 inch.

your table insert will work easily as a body if its large enough elizabeth.

I do beleive this is the year of the solid body builds, both lap sliders and guits. Here`s a fine example of one in the start !!

gee, this is awesome looking! like the neck... did you paint the decor on it? can i ask you how thick the body is? I have a piece of old oak from a table insert...and am wondering if that would work as a body? so far, i am just collecting thoughts! this guitar is amazing!
