Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters - CBG HQ

Steel tank drum made from old bbq gas bottles.I have made about 25 to date, and each one is unique sounding. Also have used old fire extinguisher bottles. Each played with hands or small mallets etc.

Anyone can make these. I cant remember the site just google Dennis Havlena. There is a rough plan online.
I make the cuts with my angle grinder with a 1mm blade, then jigsaw the curves.BUY plenty of blades! My latest ones i have plasma cut and powder coated.Just make sure to purge the tank to remove any gas or BOOM! Na not really . I've donated some to my kids school, they love em and they are indestructable. I've even made a pair from disused oxy acetelene tanks.

Mick these are awesome. I'd love to see and hear a vid of them being played. Please add these pics and any info to the discussion Propane Tank Hang Drum in the group Bang on This.

Thanks for taking the time to show all your insane instruments, you sure raise the bar for the rest of us.
