CBG #2...Three Stringer Death Punch

Here's my newest cbg, which I've named "Three Stringer Death Punch". Those of you familiar with current bands will get the joke. ;)

 

 

Still needs the rest of the hardware attached and strung up.  I'm hoping it plays well, even though it's a paperboard box.  Don't know if I wanna put electronics in it or not.  May play with it for awhile first.

Hey Arnold - one of my first CBGs was a red Punch just like that. I put a fretless neck on it, and just about everyone who visits has played it.

Cool.  Gonna try to get strings for it today and give it a try.

It's completed!  Found a solution for USH (ugly sound hole).  Made the hole larger and put a sink drain cover on it.  Of course it was curved and got in the way of the strings, so I had to flatten it with a hammer.  Did break one string during tuning, unfortunately I had a spare.  I was VERY surprised at how loud and resonant it sounded!  Will definitely be adding electronics to it this next week.  Here are the pics:

In keeping with the "Death Punch" name, I super glued three skulls at the bottom of the neck.  The strings are ran through them and even my 13 year old daughter, who doesn't think much of my cbg's said "Now I like that!". :)
