Nearly finished my first build a d shaped cookie tin just got to fit pick up and jack socket I would like to no if I have to ground the strings ? If so which is the best way to do it

Peter,if it's a metal tin and the strings make contact with it,even via a metal bridge,you should not need to run a separate   earth as the whole tin should be grounded via pots or jack plug

Thanks darryl that is what I wanted to no the bridge will be made of brass rod  I can now finish this screw the lid down and see if  I can make a noise ha ha thanks again
