Thanks for the info Larry. I got my first guitar about 45 years ago and basically taught myself, no formal lessons. I know most of the cords, and play alot by ear. Now, with all the different tunings that are available on the 3 and 4 strings, it's driving me crazy. Lots of different ways on how to play a cord, especially with open tuning, and which tuning to use, oh ya, and to slide or not to slide...lol. I try to play along with songs on this site and you tube, but it's tough when you don't know which tuning they are using, thats why i asked you what you were using. so much to learn and so little time...lol
Thanks again, have a good one...Dan
Larry, in the song i commented about, is that a 4 string cbg, if so, what turning did you use? the reso i built is my first 4 string and i been trying to figure out what tuning to use.
thanks for the comments, those are 45 long colt shells, not shotgun shells. although the taurus judge i have will shoot 410 shot gun shells or 45 long colts...
hey larry, you dont know me, but, i been following your work on facebook through a mutual friend charlene hohulin. we went to school together and was a year behind your mom, in the big city of green valley, il. i'm workin on my 3rd cbg. after the first one, i found out really quick that you can never have just one. say hi to your mom for me, and keep up the great work. i have 2- 3 string cbgs done and am working on a 4 string reso. i dont have any picts posted on this site, but have some on the cigar box nation page...
