hey bro thanks, just stopped by ta say i get most of those badass cigar boxes on e-bay and i hunt sometimes for a long time to find one i like. i can look at 200 and put 10 on watch then reduce those 10 to just 2 or 3. research always pays off fer me in da long run. take care bro---i have been huntin fer cigar boxes fer over a year now and got a few hundred stashed away fer cool guitars.
hey brother rodney---thanks for the cool comment on the 4 string lap steel build, its ready now for me to do a test vid so as soon as i can that will prolly be one on the first next vids i do. but i surely want to do a vid also with the tuaca liquer tin build.only took about an hour to build and the longness of the tin with an open front has a nice tone to it. thanks again fer da comment.
Thanks for the positive words. I'm not near as prolific as you are. You are making some sweet instruments. By the way, how are you tuning your 3 and 4 string instruments? I have tried DAD, GDAD, and DGBE.
hey rodney, when i first discovered cigar box guitars,i wanted to build right away and had no cigar boxes so the frame idea came out of necessity,as my very first build had a frame with a budwiser beer box decorated top and back. necessity is the mother of invention they say. to me, the frame idea makes it possible to go back and add more developments without complication. thanks fer the comment in the cbg mechanics group. take care bro.
