nice- I was playin something similar whilst at BluesBeaten Redshaws farm earlier this month-I'm very tempted to pick up an old acoustic from the charity shops round here and have a go.

Smojo, DO IT! Nothing special about this - its just a 'Roses' sweet tin lid, sat on its lip around the edge. No cone, no extra bracing, no glue.... just a big hole :o)

Great stuff. Is the reso part just a tin lid or have you got a cone in there too? It's given me an idea - I have an old 60s Kay acoustic bought on Ebay. Bridge is lifting and hopelessly out of intonation. Might just convert it ala Roosterman!
